As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed. What the day will look like Be part of a dynamic team of analysts, actuaries and business experts focused on designing and building healthcare data and analytics products;Build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively on cross functional teams with colleagues, clients and carriers;Manage data requirements, gather information on client requirements, analyze and report on data;Develop and maintain on-premises and cloud-based data warehouse/data lakes such as Snowflake and Databricks;Develop and maintain SQL databases, Entity diagrams (ED), including ETL, SSIS and SQL Jobs;Implement automation and efficiencies wherever possible to streamline the process, minimizing the need for manual intervention;Evaluate, design, and implement advanced analytics solutions to address business needs;Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the group benefits industry, systems, products, trends, and emerging technology, while having a thorough understanding of how these relate to group insurance consulting; andParticipate in functional team activities which support the operations of the Health Solutions practice.Skills and experience that will lead to success Previous experience working in a consulting, financial or insurance environment working in group benefits or group underwriting department, would be considered an asset;Demonstrate analytical skills and creativity to quickly integrate information, identify trends, draw conclusions and provide meaning to data;Practical knowledge in SQL, Python, and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau);Knowledge in ETL processes, both design and implementation;Applied statistics skills such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.;Strong technical skills in analyzing data for machine learning model building using various methods including k-mean clustering, collinearity and other advanced techniquesKnowledge of best practices to ensure maintainability and efficiency of data-centric projectsStrong technical skills, advanced understanding of databases, experience reporting and analyzing data using advance functions through Microsoft Excel and Access;Superior communication skills, both written and oral, bilingual would be considered an asset;Excellent time management and prioritization skills, ability to work under deadlines, and work on several projects simultaneously is critical;Work well as part of a team and ability to self-manage;Ability to discover, ask key questions and seek for guidance where appropriate.
