Location: Chicago, IL, New York, Lincolnshire, IL Aon is looking for an Actuarial Consultant to serve clients within our private healthcare exchange, the Aon Active Health Exchange (AAHE). With Aon’s people, rewards, knowledge sharing, individual contribution, and work life balance - an actuarial career at Aon adds up. Job Responsibilities:Able to communicate effectively on technical topics with key stakeholdersLead actuarial support for premium renewalsJoin the sales executives to deliver financial results and feasibility studies to prospective clients. Lead certain carrier relationships with their underwriting and actuarial functionsFinancial modeling (including quality review) of premium rates and self-insured projectionsData collection and review: feasibility studies; annual RFP processParticipation in Health & Benefits practice sponsored and external training, to grow consulting acumenAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and managing deadlinesProactive in initiating and leading discussionsHas mastered basic technical concepts and can apply to broader assignmentsYou Bring Knowledge and Expertise:Completes some work through others (i.e., delegation)Develop client relationships with staff-level and some senior client contactsWilling to play an active role in client meetingsExperience with actuarial valuation programmingInterpret valuation results and provide initial recommendations to lead actuary Coach/train entry level studentsDemonstrate flexibility to work additional hours on occasion when client needs dictateDraft original materials (e.g. letters, reports, discussion guides) with some guidance from lead consultant Education:Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics4 years of actuarial experienceCurrently taking actuarial exams or has attained actuarial credentials (ASA, FSA, or EA) (but not required)We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.  The salary range for this position is $117,000-$145,000 annually.
