About the roleWithin our P&C insurance team we operate across all actuarial areas with market leading people and products in capital modeling, pricing, reserving and risk management.As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in meeting the expectations of our clients through delivering high quality cutting-edge actuarial solutions and projects using our proprietary software, Tyche.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, friendly, dynamic working environment, with an opportunity to work with a cutting-edge modeling platform and high-profile clients.Initially, the successful applicant can expect to be involved with the following:System development:This will involve spearheading development work by liaising with clients to gather business requirements, designing, implementing and reviewing solutions, and developing automated testing frameworks for models and systems. Sales support:Supporting the sales process through proof-of-concept exercises and trials. Our recently founded US operations are rapidly growing. This role will provide you with the opportunity to be one of the early members of a rapidly growing team in the US and numerous opportunities to grow into leadership roles as our US operations and client base expand. We actively support the career development of our team and expect skills and roles to develop quickly. The successful applicant will rotate through and/or work across our capital modeling, pricing and reserving teams. This will provide opportunities to work on developing our models and supporting their use by our client base of over 50 insurers. Candidate profile Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a STEM fieldFor candidates seeking to obtain a CAS actuarial credential, the successful completion of at least 2 actuarial exams (not a requirement for non-actuarial candidates) Skills and Experience We are looking for applicants that are technically strong, who can collaborate with our team and our clients to deliver modeling solutions.
