Where you fit in
The Group Pension team of around 100 staff currently manages 40 pension plans within 25 countries and total Assets/Liabilities of around USD 100 billion. As a Pensions Actuary, you will be part of a team of 5 specialists within the Group Pension´s centre of expertise, working closely with the Group Pensions Actuary and the Vice President Group Pensions to contribute to developing and delivering global pension strategies, standards and tactics in respect of Group pension plans.
What´s the role?
The scope of this challenging role includes the funding strategy and management of pension risk from a corporate perspective, covering both assets and liabilities. You will be in charge of developing and implementing standardized processes and methodologies for defined benefit pension plans in many countries and representing the Sponsor view to local Trustee Boards, advisers and regulators on funding and pension risk.
In this role you will need to have the deep technical capability to develop and apply group principles and analyse the impact on funding and pension risk for many defined benefit plans in a variety of countries and have developed communication skills to influence senior Group and local stakeholders.

What we need from you
We are looking for a self-starter and effective team player with the ability to communicate effectively and influentially with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders globally. Throughout your career you should have demonstrated broad, innovative thinking and the ability to create and communicate robust strategic direction to generate sustainable value.
Your key technical skills will be based upon:
Actuary qualification (Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or similar)
Significant experience of the external pensions market (investment management, pension fund management, pensions consulting)
Core Technical Pensions Actuarial skills - funding updates, undertaking actuarial valuations and asset liability studies
A well-developed network of external contacts in pensions
