Aon is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst with our Reinsurance Solutions GroupAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Aon Reinsurance Solutions business group. The position can be based in our Philadelphia, PA or Morristown, NJ office. Upon full reopening of the offices, this position can be full time in office or a hybrid of in office and working from home.  Your Impact as a Senior Actuarial AnalystPrimary role is to support clients as requested by supervisor or brokers, across virtually any client project or internal research assignment with a focus on P&C risk modeling. You will become familiar with Aon’s tools and approach, contribute to their development, and present Aon’s solutions and services to our clients. In addition to completing standard actuarial analyses, the role will also be responsible for building, validating, and consulting on group-level Enterprise Risk Modeling. Secondary role is to perform market research and industry studies. This role provides an opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team on the forefront of insurance analytics. We have career development paths and promote from within first. Duties and responsibilitiesUnderstand reinsurance contracts and products (terminology, terms, and conditions)Analyze the costs and benefits of risk transferred under reinsurance agreementsPrepare client-ready presentations to communicate analysis results to brokers and clientsWrite and review R code to automate actuarial analysesDesign, develop and validate Enterprise Risk models (underwriting, reserving, credit, market)Develop tailored analyses, visualizations, and dashboards to explain analytics to actuaries, account specialists, and clientsWork with colleagues (team members, brokers, account specialists and others) to identify and respond to issues and develop additional opportunities related to products and servicesTake ownership and responsibility for quality, accuracy, and timely completion of analysisTake initiative on internal projects to improve processes, products, or servicesRequired skills and qualificationsProven experience in a Property and Casualty actuarial role3 to 5 Actuarial Exams passed, or an advanced degree in a related fieldProficiency in a programming language, e.g. R / Python / C / JavaAbility to work independently and in team environmentAbility to identify and resolve problems, think creatively, strategically, and analyticallyStrong ability to understand and perform mathematical and statistical calculationsMultifaceted Financial Analysis or Economic Capital Modeling experience a plusMinimum educationDegree required in the field of Actuarial Science, Math, Computer Science, Finance, or related degreeAbout Aon Reinsurance Solutions:Aon Analytics is the technical consulting arm of Aon Reinsurance Solutions, the world's largest reinsurance intermediary.
