Aon Is Looking For a Retirement Actuary - Associate ExperiencedAs a member of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions. This role is in our Retirement business group at Aon's Chicago, IL office.Your Impact as a Retirement Actuary - Associate ExperiencedJob Responsibilities:Pass actuarial exams (minimal requirement of one course per year)Solid administration and staff-level client relationships; developing some relationships with higher level client contactsAble to answer some client questions without reliance on lead actuaryCompletes some work through others (i.e. delegation)Prepare contribution requirements and accounting costs, with some oversightUpdate valuation runs for any changes and program provisions from scratchInterpret valuation results and provide initial recommendations to lead actuaryPerform more complicated or review more simple pension benefit calculationsMentor/train entry level studentsDemonstrate flexibility to work additional hours on occasion when client needs instructDraft original materials (e.g. letters, reports, discussion guides) with some guidanceRequired Experience:2 years of actuarial work experienceCompletion of several examsAdvanced Microsoft ExcelReconciliation of liability gains and lossesMicrosoft Word and Microsoft PowerPointPreferred Experience:ASA or EA DesignationsValuation programming on ProVal systemBasic knowledge of funding methodsMinimum and/or maximum funding calculationsEducation:Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics or similar fieldWe offer youA competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.Our Colleague Experience:From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.
