Aon Reinsurance is looking for an Associate Director for our Mortgage Credit Reinsurance Analytics Practice.   This position is located in Chicago but we would be open to hiring someone virtually who has right skill-set. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Aon Reinsurance business group. The qualified candidate can be based out of our Chicago office or work remotely. Your Impact as an Associate DirectorThis role is for an individual with a strong analytics background, ideally in finance, insurance or consulting.  The individual will work with cross-functional teams and other analytics professionals to deliver value added reinsurance solutions to our clients.  Associate Directors are expected to develop proficiencies in completing standard analyses, while also taking part in more advanced analyses as needed. You will become familiar with Aon’s tools and approach, contribute to our client’s development and present Aon’s solutions and services to our clients. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze the costs and benefits of credit default risk transferred under mortgage reinsurance agreements via pricing and capital analyses and dynamic cashflow modelingPrepare client-ready presentations to communicate analysis results to brokers and clientsWork with colleagues (brokers, analytics and others) to identify and respond to client needs and develop additional opportunities related to the credit and mortgage spaceInventory and manage data related to analysis of mortgage reinsurance transactionsUnderstand mortgage reinsurance contracts and products (terminology, terms and conditions)Manage workflow proactivelyTake initiative on internal projects to improve processes, products or servicesTake ownership and responsibility for quality, accuracy and timely completion of analysisREQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS5 years of experience in an analytics-centric environmentFinancial modeling, consulting, reinsurance, or credit default analytics experience preferredStrong proficiency in R (or similar programming language), SQL, and MS Office suite, particularly Excel/VBA and PowerPointDynamic Financial Analysis or Economic Capital Modeling experience are a plusPre-ACAS if pursuing actuarial credentialsAbility to identify and resolve problems, think creatively, strategically and analyticallyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)Ability to work independently and in team environmentStrong ability to understand and perform mathematical and statistical calculations  MINIMUM EDUCATIONDegree required in the field of Actuarial, Math, Economics, Finance or related degree.   About Aon Reinsurance:Aon Reinsurance Analytics is the technical consulting arm of Aon Reinsurance, the world's largest reinsurance intermediary.
